Pierce County Skills Center

Dates: Franklin Pierce - Session I: June 22 - July 10 (No school July 3) & Session II: July 13 - July 30

Are you interested in culinary arts or do you want to advance your food preparation skills? This course will focus on food safety and sanitation, nutrition basics, meal planning, entertaining, kitchen equipment, and food preparation and presentation. Students will learn basic culinary skills while working cooperatively with others in a food lab setting. College credit may be available.

Credit Equivalency: CTE Elective

Students have one-half hour for lunch each day. PCSC summer school has an open campus policy which allows students to leave campus and purchase lunch off-site. Students may also bring a sack lunch from home. There is no microwave available to students.
