Pop! Icons, Artists, and Heroes
Tacoma Art Museum
Pop art uses common images to create new works of art that both celebrate and question what is popular in our culture. Taking inspiration from the exhibition Roger Shimomura: An American Knockoff, you will learn the fundamentals of collage, drawing, illustration, mixed-media, printmaking, and screen printing. Guided field trips include visits to the Tacoma Farmers Market, Washington State History Museum, and more. You will feel like a true emerging artist when family and friends view your masterpieces at the camper celebration, held on the last day of each camp at 4 pm.
August 10 – 14 (Grades 7-9)
August 24 – 28 (Grades 4-6)
Cost: $290 non-member, $260 member.
Camp runs from 9am to 5pm.
