YMCA Camp Seymour - Explorers

The Explorer experience is about being yourself and being accepted for who you are. Campers choose their daily camptivities that allow them to break away from their cabin group and specialize in activities like: kayaking, climbing wall, water sports, specialized crafts, soccer, basketball, marine science, outdoor adventure, and performing arts. Explorers Specialty Camps

Sailing Camp
 August 16-22

Sailing camp is for the beginner-intermediate sailor. Learn knots, self-rescue, rigging and sailing basics, while sailing around Glen Cove and Puget Sound. Sailing classes are one hour a day, five days a session.

Guitar Camp

• June 28-July 4
• July 5-11

• July 26-August 1
• August 9-15

Beginner and intermediate guitar players can learn basic chords, chord progressions and strumming technique, while preparing to perform at camp’s closing campfire. Guitar classes are one hour a day, five days a session.

Marine Science 

• June 28-July 4
• July 13-18
• July 26-August 1

We have the perfect location for learning about marine life in and around Puget Sound. Explore the beaches at low tide, get out on the water at high tide, study ecology and biology and get hands-on in camp’s own touch tanks. Marine Science classes are one hour a day, five days a session.
